This decision was made to allow me to provide a tailored level of care for each clients unique needs without the impact of external policies. Insurance companies can impose restrictions on the type and length of therapy, as well as, require a diagnosis to cover services. This can limit the therapeutic process and compromise the privacy of our work together.
I understand this may present financial challenges. In attempt to resolve this, I provide flexibility in session frequency, along with:
One: I offer a limited number of spots at a sliding scale cost. This allows me to provide sessions at a decreased cost. Currently, my sliding scale slots are full; you may reach out to ask to be put on a sliding scale waitlist.
Two: I can provide you with a Super Bill at the end of each week. This allows me to provide you with documentation of services to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Reimbursement is solely based between you and your insurance providers coverage of out-of-network mental health services.
YES! What is said in therapy, stays in therapy.
The limited exceptions are: I provide written consent or if I am causing harm/threatening danger to myself or others.
